Risk's Proposal Software is available for Managing Brokers only.  Agents must contact their Managing Brokers or Risk for a formal proposal to be generated for presentation to clients.  If the proposal is not submitted with the application, the agent must obtain the insured's signature on the proposal upon delivery of the policy and returned to Risk. This procedure will protect all parties involved in the solicitation of insurance since the formal proposal adequately discloses information about our products. Authorized Brokers can enter our private area to have the FSL software automatically installed on their PC.  ENTER HERE.

Key Requirements To Qualify for Proposal Software

  • Existing GA or MGA with Risk - If you are an existing general agent (GA) or managing general agent (MGA) with Risk, you will be provided with the Proposal Software upon submission of an email message to webmaster@riskw.com with the phrase "Proposal Software" in the Subject Heading and the Licensed Agent or Agency's name and address in the Comment section of the message.  Since the software includes all products available from this site, please specify the line of business that you would like or indicate "all products."
  • Existing Licensed SGA with Risk - You must generate at least 10 pieces of new business submissions per year for us before you can qualify for access to the software.  If you believe that you now qualify, please provide us with the list of cases along with the dates submitted to Risk, along with the other information requested above. Risk will generate proposals for you until you qualify for the proposal software.
  • Prospective Licensed General Agents and Brokers - We will consider you a Managing Broker upon receipt of at least 5 cases of new business submissions within any 3 month period.  You must notify us by email that you qualify by providing an email message with the information required above.  Risk will generate proposals for you until you qualify for the software.

Software Description

You have the opportunity to generate specific proposals for your clients so that adequate disclosure is made about the products.  However, you also have the opportunity to generate just a quick quote, a one-page summary of the different modal premiums due on a specific benefit level for a specific person at the age provided.   Here is a summary of how the software works:

Select Agent
It is desirable to set-up your Agency Records as requests come in from your agents.   In order to generate a formal quote, the writing agent must be licensed and appointed by Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company.  You can however, generate a quick quote for your clients to determine whether they want to proceed with an application for insurance.  Just set up your Agency in your Home State once and modify that record by changing the state code to your clients' resident state.  Save the file as a separate record.  The proposal software will not generate a quote unless the Client's State and the Agent's State is the same.

Enter Client Data
After your agent records are entered and saved, you can create your client records by selecting the Illustration Tab and selecting the Open New option.  You have three tabs to select, but you will always ignore the 2ND Insured Tab since it does not apply to our existing products.  Just select Edit Client from the Client Tab and enter the basic information of the proposed insured.  Then you must select the Agent in order to generate the quick quote or formal proposal.   The drop down menu allows you to select what product is available for sale in the resident state, the specific product (e.g. Platinum, Silver or Blue plan), the benefit amount and the modal premium option.   You do not have to Preview the quote in order to calculate premiums due on a proposal . . . it will automatically calculate it on the screen for you to provide a quote over the telephone.

Output Control
After selecting and entering the basic client and agent data , you have the option to Preview the proposal on the screen or Print it.  But first, you should select the Output Control option to determine what you would like to see or have printed.  The last drop down menu allows you to select a Quick Quote option or a full-blown Client Presentation.  After printing it, save your proposals by selecting the "Save As" option.  This will allow you to access existing proposals for every option selected.  If you prefer to have only one record for each client, then just select the "Save" option and "Replace" the file with the most recent proposal.

Disclosure Information

A formal proposal, the Client Presentation option in Output Control, will consist of the following information:

Cover Page
A Prepared For section listing your client's name, address, status, issue age and benefit or face amount.  A Presented By section listing your agency's name, address, phone and fax numbers, and state license number when provided.

Explanation of Benefits and Definition of Terms
The next page or two will provide your client with the explanation of benefits available, selected or not selected for a particular product.  The purpose is to disclose what benefits will be provided and not provided on the proposal generated.

Disability Income Proposal
The Base Benefit Amounts and the Optional Rider Benefit Amounts are disclosed individually, as well as in total so that the client can see how the premium was calculated.  The Last Page, or the Quick Quote option page, also lists the benefit to be payable during the graded period if total disability occurs in those years.   Finally, the Annual Contract premium and premium payment options are disclosed in the quote.

The last page of the proposal must be executed by the proposed insured and the direct writing agent.  Original copies must be delivered to IMI before insurance coverage is placed in force.
